Instagram and Facebook alike can show targeted ads and convince users to buy things they do not need. TikTok has changed the way we are influenced, since most ads themselves are promoted by people and accounts we trust. It’s a place where I feel like I was able to break out of my naivety born out of twelve years of catholic school.
